Patient consultation at Macquarie Park Medical Centre

New Patient?

All general consultations are bulk billed with a valid Medicare card. Please arrive early with your Medicare card and photo ID.

Cashless Clinic

We accept HICAPS, EFTPOS and HotDoc payments for out-of-pocket fees and patients without a valid Medicare card.

After Hours

Present to your local Urgent Care Centre or Hospital for after hours care. For emergencies, call 000 immediately.

After Hours & Home Visits

If you require after-hours care, please present to your local Urgent Care Centre — Ryde Medicare Urgent Care Clinic or Chatswood Medicare Urgent Care Clinic. For all emergencies, please attend the closest Emergency Department at Royal North Shore Hospital or call 000 immediately.
Home visits may be available at the discretion of your treating doctor. Doctors may perform home visits when appropriate, and if time allows. However, they are generally restricted to those who are a regular patient of our doctors and are too frail or ill to get to the surgery. Please call reception on (02) 8536 6388 to discuss any home visit need.
A contact list of translator and interpreter services and services for patients with a disability is readily available to our reception team. These include: Auslan services: 1300 AUSLAN. Translation and Interpreter Service (TIS) Doctors Priority Line: 1300 131 450.

Appointments

Consultations are available by appointment. You can easily book online on HotDoc or call our friendly reception team on (02) 8536 6388 to find a time that suits you. We also offer a number of same-day appointments for patients with urgent medical needs.
Standard consultations are usually 15 minutes, for 1 simple or minor issue such as repeat scripts and referrals, common cough and cold, general health check-up and similar. Longer consultations are available for complex health issues, multiple concerns, GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP), or mental health care plans. Please let our reception team know if you need extra time.
While walk-ins may be accommodated when possible, booking ahead ensures you can see your preferred doctor at your preferred time.
Yes, our doctors offer telehealth consultations. To be eligible, you must be registered for MyMedicare with us to satisfy the established clinical relationship requirement, OR patients who are not registered for MyMedicare with us will require a face-to-face visit in the previous 12 months with their GP and/or practice to be eligible for telehealth consultations.

New Patients

We are delighted to welcome new patients to Macquarie Park Medical Centre. Our team is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality medical care in a comfortable and supportive environment. Please arrive a few minutes early for your first appointment to complete a New Patient Registration Form. All general consultations are bulk billed with a valid Medicare card. Procedures and infusions are subject to private out-of-pocket costs.
You will need to bring: A valid Medicare card (if applicable), Photo identification (e.g. driver's licence or student card), A list of any current medications or allergies. Please note that all new patients must attend their first appointment in person. This allows our doctors to conduct a thorough assessment, review your medical history, and establish a trusted care relationship from the very beginning.
Yes, if you have previously seen another GP, we can arrange to have your medical records transferred to our clinic. Simply let our reception team know, and we will provide a Medical Records Transfer Form for you to complete and sign. Alternatively, you can complete our secure online Medical Records Transfer Form before your first visit. Once authorised, we will contact your previous practice to securely obtain your medical history.
